Bringing an Award-Winning Arts Organization Into the 21st Century

  • Local Champion: Lander Community Concerts Association
  • Date Funded: December 15, 2021
  • Grant Amount: $8,397

The Lander Community Concert Association has brought an eclectic array of world-class performances to the Lander community since 1947. Yet despite LCCA’s longstanding importance to Wyoming, attendance at events has declined in recent years. Even before the pandemic, ticket sales were lagging. With this problem in mind, the organization’s director, identified a combination of factors: an aging audience base and an outdated means of advertising performances and handling ticket sales. What the LCCA needed was a technological and marketing overhaul and they brought their solution to the LOR Foundation, which provided funding for the creation of a dynamic new website (which allows for the easy, secure purchase of individual and season tickets), as well as the hire of a marketing professional to develop a strategic online and offline marketing and data analysis campaign. LOR funding also allowed them to purchase two laptops for use by LCCA staff—essential tools for any contemporary nonprofit.
