Bike Racks Give Weiser Cyclists a Place to Park

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: September 23, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $8,880

Many Weiser residents bike to local stores, parks, government offices, and meeting places, but the lack of secure bike parking forces cyclists to prop bikes against buildings or lay them on sidewalks, creating hazards for pedestrians. After one community volunteer raised the idea of installing bike racks around town, the city manager reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase 10 bike racks and install them at key locations throughout town. The racks will give cyclists a safe place to secure their bikes while encouraging active transportation and supporting local businesses that benefit from bike traffic.
