Art Workshops Combat Isolation and Inspire Wonder in Cortez

Cortez residents have few everyday opportunities for meaningful connection and creative expression, leading to isolation. After seeing the need for more creative opportunities and speaking with local artists who wanted to share their talents, one gallery owner had an idea. LOR’s funding helped her organize free art workshops for all ages across Cortez, including sessions where participants created artwork to display throughout the community. The project has brought residents together for shared creative experiences while filling Cortez with art that inspires wonder, human connection, and generosity.
