Accessible Bathrooms Open Questa’s VFW to All

  • Local Champion: VFW Post 7688
  • Date Funded: June 18, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $25,000

Questa’s Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7688 serves as a central community gathering place, hosting events ranging from funeral luncheons to craft fairs. The problem is the VFW’s historic building lacks accessible bathrooms, creating barriers for elderly veterans and community members with disabilities. Two VFW members wanted to ensure that all of Questa’s veterans could participate in community activities, so they came up with an idea: bring the building’s bathrooms up to current accessibility standards. LOR’s funding helped VFW Post 7688 hire contractors and purchase the materials to install ADA-compliant restrooms, allowing all of Questa’s veterans to stay active in local civic life.

This project is fiscally sponsored by Localogy.
