A Vehicle Fills a Critical Gap in Libby’s Medical Emergency Services

  • Local Champion: Paramedic Professionals, Inc.
  • Date Funded: January 20, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $30,000

Libby residents who need significant emergency medical care have no way to reach regional hospitals when they don’t qualify for LifeFlight. The problem has left seriously ill patients—including children needing emergency surgery—scrambling to find their own rides to hospitals hours away in Kalispell, Missoula, or Spokane. One Libby local wanted to close this gap, so he launched a local nonprofit and reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help Paramedic Professionals purchase a vehicle to provide medically supervised transport. The vehicle will ensure Libby residents can safely reach advanced medical care when they need it most, protecting local patients and families.
