A Slide Brings Safe Play Back to Weiser’s City Park

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: November 26, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $6,100

Young children in Weiser have few playgrounds suitable for their age, so it was a problem when the city was forced to shut down the slide at City Park due to a large crack. After receiving community concerns, one city staffer reached out to LOR with an idea. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser purchase and install a new slide system at City Park. The replacement will restore the most popular playground for families with small children, allowing kids to play safely and families to reconnect.
