A Sidewalk Section Enhances Safety Around Weiser Memorial Park

  • Local Champion: City of Weiser
  • Date Funded: March 27, 2025
  • Grant Amount: $29,847

Weiser Memorial Park serves as a central recreation hub, but a missing section of sidewalk forces pedestrians and cyclists to share the road with vehicles along one of the park’s busiest stretches. Local residents and city staff have long recognized the safety hazard—particularly concerning for children attending a nearby after-school program—so one city employee reached out to LOR with a solution. LOR’s funding will help the city of Weiser install concrete sidewalk and two ADA-accessible ramps to finish the park’s walking path, making it safer for residents year-round.
