A Quick Fix Puts the Libby Loggers Back on the Board

  • Local Champion: Libby K-12 Schools
  • Date Funded: November 3, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $10,200

The people of Libby bleed yellow and blue, so when the high school scoreboard fried this past year, locals feared one of the town’s most cherished traditions—watching the Loggers play home football games—would no longer be the same. The lack of a functional scoreboard presented problems for Libby’s other high school teams, too, especially soccer and softball. With this problem in mind, a concerned resident (and Logger fan) reached out to the LOR Foundation, which provided funding to repair the football scoreboard and purchase a mobile unit for other sports to use at their games, too.

Impact

The outdoor football scoreboard was repaired in time for the last game of the year, and the Loggers fans were jubilant. Subsequently, LOR was also able to help repair a clock delay on the indoor scoreboard.
