A Lab Refrigerator Protects Cortez Patients and Builds Trust

Southwest Memorial Hospital’s lab refrigerators have broken seals and inadequate door closures, putting the integrity of patient specimens and testing materials at risk. Two volunteers with the Southwest Memorial Hospital Foundation recognized the need to sustain trust in the hospital’s services as more residents choose to receive care locally, so they reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Southwest Memorial Hospital purchase a high-performance lab refrigerator paired with continuous third-party temperature monitoring to ensure quality control and accurate results, protecting the reliability of the hospital’s lab services and supporting the health and well-being of the Cortez community.
