Play (More) Ball! Monte Vista Expands Baseball Program With New Equipment

  • Local Champion: Monte Vista Schools
  • Date Funded: April 19, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $9,947

Baseball is becoming an increasingly popular sport in Monte Vista, especially among middle school-aged students. Unfortunately, though, middle school teams do not have enough equipment to safely accommodate the growing interest. With this problem in mind, the middle school athletic director and others reached out to the LOR Foundation for help. And with a grant from LOR, the middle school was able to purchase an outdoor batting cage, an L-shaped pitching safety screen, and a pitching machine to bolster their ability to serve more student athletes.
