No More “What’s the Score?” with Lander’s New Scoreboard

  • Local Champion: Lander LOBOS
  • Date Funded: November 30, 2022
  • Grant Amount: $8,000

Lander’s LOBOS youth baseball program has seen significant growth in recent years: They’re up to 36 participants and won last year’s Wyoming Senior Babe Ruth championship. The club would love to put in a bid to host the 2023 Pacific Northwest Regional Tournament—a move that could bring a significant economic impact to Lander given the need for traveling teams and families to find lodging and food while they’re in town. The LOBOS’ home field has a big disadvantage, though: The scoreboard at City Park is in desperate need of replacement. LOR’s support helped fund the purchase of a new scoreboard that would make Lander a contender for hosting big league dreams next year.
