Local Theatre Spreads Holiday Cheer with Free Movies for Monte Vista Families

Participating in recreational activities, like going to the movies together, can strengthen family relationships and positively impact communication. But many households in Monte Vista cannot afford movie tickets for the whole family. To address this problem, Volunteers with the Vali3 Theatre wanted to offer all Monte Vista residents the opportunity to enjoy a night at the theater with families, friends, and neighbors, so they contacted LOR for help hosting free screenings of holiday films throughout December. LOR’s funding will cover the cost of the films’ licensing fees and promotion of the free community showings, as well as movie night snacks for everyone who attends.
