Laptops Expand Medicare Access for Buffalo Seniors

  • Local Champion: Buffalo Senior Center
  • Date Funded: July 22, 2026
  • Grant Amount: $2,435

Outdated and unreliable technology at the Buffalo Senior Center has slowed appointments and turned away more than a dozen seniors seeking help with Medicare enrollment. When a volunteer with the Buffalo Senior Center reached out to LOR to discuss the center’s needs, the first priority she raised was replacing the failing laptops that volunteers depend on to deliver this service. LOR’s funding will help the Buffalo Senior Center purchase three new computers from a local vendor. The updated technology will allow the center to increase appointments, ensuring Buffalo seniors get the Medicare assistance and essential health care they need.
