Kids in Libby Get Hands On Experience With Mobile Cattle Chute

Many Libby youth are interested in agriculture, but working with livestock can be dangerous because, among other reasons, cows are huge. This means kids don’t get as much hands-on experience with veterinary procedures, weighing, and training to show cattle. The leader of the South 40 4-H club had this problem in mind when she reached out to the LOR Foundation—and with LOR’s help the organization was able to purchase a mobile cattle chute that will allow Libby kids to broaden their exposure and experience by safely securing cattle for a variety of procedures.
