Fiestas de San Antonio Restores an Important Questa Tradition

  • Local Champion: Fiesta Committee
  • Date Funded: May 17, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $9,000

Dating back to 1986, the Fiestas de San Antonio had been an event to highlight local music, dance, art, food, and local commerce in Questa. However, the event hasn’t been held since 2010 and, like many cultural events that have gone away, that’s lead to a lack of community connection. In 2023, though, several community members have come together to bring the Fiestas back to life. Funding from LOR was used to rent a venue, acquire a sound system for speakers, pay musicians and other performers, and rent tables, chairs, and tents for the event that will be held on June 17, 2023—bringing an important tradition back to Questa.
