Empowerment Programming Unlocks Potential of Young Women in Questa

  • Local Champion: Con Alma Y Corazon
  • Date Funded: September 10, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $9,800

Young women in Questa don’t have many opportunities to cultivate their leadership skills with the support of local mentors or formal empowerment programming. After attending the Wyoming Latina Youth Conference, an inspired Questa local reached out with a solution: Launch a 2-day summit and subsequent workshop series that will empower young women to develop their unique gifts and reach their potential as future professionals and community leaders.

LOR’s support will fund the promotion and production of the ‘Con Alma y Corazon’ summit—including venue, food, and guest speaker costs. It will also cover facilitator fees for the follow-up workshops and provide travel stipends for out-of-town events so that transportation costs are never a barrier to participation for young women seeking out opportunities for personal growth.
