Bus Service in Questa Connects Students to Experiential Learning

The Questa Independent School District is moving toward an experimental learning curriculum. However, transportation is essential for students to access off-site opportunities, and bus drivers have been in short supply across Taos County. In order to make the curriculum a reality, the district would need to expand its contract with a local bussing company. To that end, they reached out to LOR for help and were ultimately able to secure more drivers. The district will now launch a pilot program in the 2023-2024 school year in which students will have hands-on experiences at local farms, construction sites, wetlands, and more. And if the program is a success, the district plans on expanding its transportation budget in 2025.
