A Storage Shed Helps Lander Pickleballers Grow Their Sport

  • Local Champion: Popo Agie Pickleball Club
  • Date Funded: June 5, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $2,537

The sport of pickleball has grown rapidly in Lander, with residents of all ages participating. Unfortunately, there is no designated outdoor space to play (a local gym has indoor courts), so the Popo Agie Pickleball Club is working to resurface and repaint high school tennis courts and create six pickleball courts instead. Once the courts art completed, the club will still need a storage option—which is why they reached out to the LOR Foundation. With support from LOR, the club will purchase a shed to store paddles, balls, nets, and other equipment—all of which will help more locals enjoy a growing pastime.
