Taos Locals Gain Greater Access to Hands-On Art Experiences

  • Local Champion: The Paseo Project
  • Date Funded: March 29, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $7,500

Taos youth and families have limited access to hands-on experiences that inspire career paths in cutting edge technologies and arts. The Paseo Project saw a solution in its annual Artist and Residence Program (AIR). AIR identifies artists from around the world and brings them to Taos to share their artistic talents/skill sets; artists conduct free workshops and activities and community days. In years past, they have had to limit the number of workshops as well as participation, so staff at the Paseo reached out to LOR for help expanding the number of free workshops to allow more community involvement. LOR’s support will help provide supplies for workshops that allow nearly 1,000 Taos locals to participate.
