New Instruments Help High School Band Grow in Weiser

  • Local Champion: Weiser School District 431
  • Date Funded: June 20, 2024
  • Grant Amount: $16,274

Every year new students sign up for band at Weiser High School. Ordinarily, that would be a good thing. But it’s a problem because much of the band’s equipment is old and in disrepair. One mom wanted to ensure Weiser High School’s band could grow while staying successful and competitive. With limited district funds, she reached out to LOR for support. LOR’s funding will help Weiser High School’s band purchase a new marimba, vibraphone, and a range of electronic equipment to help with marching band shows. With the updated instruments and equipment, band students will be able to strengthen their skills and compete for years to come.
