A Central Location Helps Lander Veterans Access Key Resources

  • Local Champion: Lander Community Veteran Resource Center
  • Date Funded: June 23, 2023
  • Grant Amount: $22,000

Many veterans in Lander struggle with mental and physical health issues, while some struggle to find employment and secure housing. These problems are only compounded by a complicated network of federal, state, and local resources which are often hard to navigate. To address this issue, the Lander Community Veterans Resource Center hoped to create a central location and consolidate resources under one roof, providing services to guide veterans through various bureaucratic processes. A grant from LOR helped the organization put down a rental deposit on a permanent space, pay rent and utilities for one year, and purchase equipment to outfit the building.

This project was fiscally sponsored by the Lander Community Foundation
