Laura Bush Foundation for American Libraries
As part of the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries provides about $5,000 to schools to update and diversify library book collections, supporting efforts to help students develop a love of reading.

NewSchools Venture Fund
NewSchools Venture Fund offers between $150,000 and $250,000 to early-stage organizations developing innovative schools, K–8 math and literacy tools, teaching models, or support systems for students with learning differences with a strong focus on equity.

Lowe’s Hometowns
Lowe’s will fund 100 large-scale community projects—chosen from consumer nominations—to be completed in partnership with local nonprofits, Lowe’s store associates, and community volunteers.

National Endowment for the Arts Big Read
The NEA Big Read offers between $5,000 and $20,000 to nonprofits, libraries, schools, museums, tribes, and cultural groups for community-wide reading programs built around a selected book, with matching funds required.

Stop Hunger Classroom Challenge
Youth Service America grants provide up to $2,500 to youth-led projects that engage at least 50 young volunteers in activities that help end childhood hunger in their communities.

Celebrate the West
The Western Governor’s Foundation hosts a regional art competition for high school students that invites original two-dimensional artwork inspired by the West. Participation is free and open to public, private, charter, and home-schooled students.
