LOR is the only private foundation funding exclusively in rural places in the Mountain West.
We have invested nearly $80 million in the region and in recent years have funded 1,172 community projects. We work directly with local people who have a plan for how to help their towns. Our success stems from being accessible to anyone with an idea—senior citizens, small-town mayors, veterans, pastors, and busy parents. We fund across a broad range of kitchen-table issues and understand how to break down barriers and support solutions that will make a positive impact on the quality of life in rural America.
