Field Work is LOR’s search for innovative answers to persistent problems that plague rural communities. Launched in 2023 and conducted annually, each Field Work effort focuses on a different aspect of livability. Whether that’s related to water, health, education, housing or something else, each initiative is informed by what we’re hearing and seeing in the communities where we work and around the Mountain West. Our goal with each Field Work initiative is to get money quickly into the hands of the people on the ground—in communities where LOR works or in other rural parts of the region—who have innovative ideas.
