J.R. Logan joined the LOR Foundation as a Program Associate in January 2017 after spending nine years as a journalist in the rural West covering the economy, natural resources, and local government.
J.R. was born and raised in Colorado, and he has lived up and down the Rocky Mountain West. He’s branded cattle in Montana, guided fishing trips in backwoods Wyoming, and is on a lifelong quest to find the best red chile in Northern New Mexico. J.R. attended Montana State University in Bozeman, where he earned a bachelor’s degrees in Spanish and Philosophy. He and his wife spend their free time tending to goats, chickens, and two rowdy boys on a small farmstead near Taos.
